So a friend and I have been talking about doing a "mod" for UT3. But hopefully highly re-doing alot of things in the engine...if possible.

Here is a little ditty that I wrote up the other day for a short "intro" type tutorial level thing

**********************************INFECTED************************************************

The human race has been infected with a gene that turns us into werewolves. Only once turned you do not transform back.

You are Ryko. You are the top agent in an army of humans brought together to try and rid the world of the Infected.

One night while out on a mission you get a distress call from your commanding; they just heard your hometown has been attacked by a large group of Infected. You are to report to your HQ before they allow you to go back home and scavenge up the remains and hope to protect your family.

As you arrive you see that things are not looking good. You rush home. Oddly there is nothing wrong with your home. You are slightly hesitant, but the images of your wife and child urge you to rush inside.

You start yelling their names, even though your combat training has taught you to do just the opposite. They answer.

You are by their side instantly.

They are huddled together in the basement. Your wife explains that nearly everyone in the town has been slaughtered. The look in her eyes, the sound in her voice, gives you the impression that it is not over yet.
Growls, gunfire, screams and explosions are now bringing you back to reality. You rush out.You look around wildly, and see your squad massacred. You then realize that you are surrounded a large group of Infected. Out comes your gun. You start to shoot them, attempting to save your family, your life.

You suddenly become aware that there is no chance of you making out of here alive. You scream to your wife to take your child and run and you try to fend off the Infected. They close in on you. You are outnumbered.
You start to think of your death…but it doesn’t happen as quick as you think. You start to realize they are toying with you. Each taking their turn to beat the man who probably has killed part of their family…or someone they know.

Then…they bite you. You go numb.

You become to feel weary, weak, helpless….useless to the fact that the Infected did not let your family escape…but instead you see them being torn apart.

You passout.

When you wake up, you feel “different.” You realize after a short while, what happened. You have been turned into one of them, one of the Infected. You quickly run to a mirror. Odd, you look normal. Then you remember your wife and son. You race back downstairs. And there you see them.

Your wife………………Dead.

Your son………………..Dead.

You pass out again.
